It's a complicated five stars. My first time order experience was great. Over 12 years...(!), yes, I've frequented this business for over 12 years. The guy is a bit moody, at times berating but always delivering! If you can understand and accept that their family dynamics is the same lens from which they interact with you I think that's kind of cool. At the bottom of it all is a kitchen that delivers timely and really great take out style Chinese food! Support this business and support local family businesses.
Food here is consistently good. It's my favorite Chinese place in the neighborhood. They have been raising their prices little by little so it's hard to know unless you find an updated menu. I always find the staff pretty friendly.
I order from here at least once a week, and whenever I have my friend over for dinner she insists we order from Chen Yuan because of how tasty it is. Chinese takeout usually doesn't vary too much, but for some reason this place is above average. The service is so friendly and best of all the prices are insanely good for this area.
The best Chinese food in Bushwick. Chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce is the best, orange chicken is 5/5. Fast delivery, friendly and very affordable. This is the spot for Chinese food.
This place is an great little place fo typical NYC style Chinese food. It's a small corner location with two tables for seating. Mostly a take out place but you can sit down for a lunchtime meal. I've tried most of the staples General Tso's, lo main, chicken with broccoli, fried dumplings, egg rolls, and it's all solid. The wonton soup is above average in my opinion. The half fried chicken and fried rice combo is a good deal of food for the price. I live a few blocks away and usually pick up my order. It's generally done in 15 minutes or less. Overall pretty good place for Chinese food.
